Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has sent out a message after the club confirmed he’s set to undergo surgery on a back issue.
Ter Stegen has opted to go under the knife after missing Barca’s last three games and it’s thought he’ll miss around two months.
Here’s what he’s had to say about it:
“After intensive conversations with the medical team of the club and various supporting experts, we decided to undergo a surgical procedure,” he wrote on Instagram.
“The break obviously annoys me. It is the right and safe decision in order to come back in the best conditions for my Club Barcelona and the German national team.
