Win Streak Snapped, Brewers Beat Astros 4-2

Since his impressive debut in 2021, Jake Meyers hasn’t progressed as initially hoped for. A shoulder injury sustained in that year’s ALDS against the White Sox effectively derailed his career for two seasons, missing a significant portion of 2022 rehabbing from surgery while 2023 was more about shaking the rust off in limited playing time. It wasn’t an ideal situation for a young outfielder looking to stay in the majors.

One of the more interesting points about the offseason was Dana Brown’s commitment to Meyers and how he wanted to stick with the 27-year-old as the club’s starting center fielder, at least to start the season.
