Back in the 'SHIP: Stingy Defense Leads Lacrosse to 9-7 Win Over Irish

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A sensational defensive effort and timely goals led Boston College lacrosse to a 9-7 win over No. 2 Notre Dame in the ACC semifinals on Friday evening in Charlotte at American Legion Memorial Stadium.

The Eagles advance to a third straight ACC title and seek a second straight championship against Syracuse on Sunday at 12 p.m. on ACC Network.

BC's defense stymied the top scoring team in the ACC, limiting the Fighting Irish to a season low in goals. The Eagles totaled 12 caused turnovers with 17 ground balls and won the draw, 10-8.
